After three years of work and service, our club has built a solid foundation of fellowship and goodwill on which we can embark on solving new challenges within our community. As our focus this year, we are committed to Moving Forward. We have learned and grown in the last few years and are ready for new and exciting projects ahead.

A message from president, Mr. Miles McFall:

Dear fellow Rotarians and Guests,

Welcome to the website for the Rotary Club of Dalian, located in Liaoning Province, China. I invite you to take a look at what our club is accomplishing in Northern China and see how you can join or help us in our work.

Since receiving our charter on December 18th, 2015, our focus has been establishing ourselves as a long-term force for positive action in our community. After three years of work and service, our club has built a solid foundation of fellowship and goodwill on which we can embark on solving new problems within our community. As our focus this year, we are committed to Moving Forward. We have learned and grown in the last few years and are ready for new and exciting projects ahead.

Though we are looking ahead, we still recognize our legacy. We’re proud to have been given the opportunity to support two satellite clubs, Dalian Kai Fa Qu and Shenyang, which have both become chartered and are doing exceptional work in their communities. In addition, we are honored to mentor two Rotaract clubs, the Rotaract Club of Dalian and the Rotaract Club of Changchun, which allow young leaders to have a positive effect on their communities. Both of these clubs are doing great work to support some of the neediest in their areas.

Like our friends at these other clubs, our club does many meaningful projects in Dalian. We proudly support the Save Kids Lives project dedicated to raising awareness of importance of using child safety seats in cars. Through this project, we hope to significantly reduce the number of vehicle related child injuries and fatalities in China. Thus far we have sponsored the first training event outside of Shanghai dedicated to this mission. We’re now working with our trainers to hold at least 15 training events throughout the year. We have also signed an agreement with one of our sponsor clubs the Rotary Club of Worpswede (Germany) to establish an international standard Art Therapy program in Dalian.

While the work we do is meaningful to us, enjoying doing it together is important as well. That’s why we like to have some fun along the way and get together for fellowship and good times. And we’re always looking to expand our numbers with like-minded leaders devoted to making lifelong friendships and making a lifelong impact. On this website, you’ll be able to see all the work we do and information on how you can join us in our efforts.

As always, we look forward to seeing you at Rotary!
